Acutrack works to avoid charging storage fees whenever possible. However, when books are not moving, they continue to occupy valuable warehouse space and incur ongoing costs. In addition to storage space, we must insure all inventory against potential loss or damage. To help offset these costs, we charge a nominal flat fee of $29 per month, per SKU, per location.
What does “per SKU per location” mean?
The fee applies to each unique SKU stored in each warehouse location.
If a SKU has a large quantity that requires multiple storage locations, the fee will apply to each location used.
Why is the fee necessary if inventory is not selling?
Even if inventory is not moving, it still:
Occupies critical warehouse storage space
Requires handling and inventory management
Must be insured for protection against loss or damage
These factors create ongoing operational costs.
What if the storage fees are impacting my bottom line?
If the fees are adding up and you no longer have a business justification for storing the books, Acutrack can help by:
Disposing of the inventory at no additional cost, or
Shipping the inventory back to you, if you cover the shipping charges.
