Incorrect Page Dimensions: Blocker

Message received: Your page size is 8.5 × 11 in. Accepted sizes for this order: 6 × 9 in, 6.25 × 9.25 in, or 6.125 × 9.25 in. (The details change to match your file.)

Alert level: Blocker. This blocker stops printing. The file cannot continue until it is fixed.

Applies to: Interior and cover files.

Meaning

The page size of your PDF does not match your order. Your pages must be your trim size, or your trim size plus bleed. The accepted sizes are listed in the message, and they change with your order. Sizes must be within 0.01 in.

For covers, use the Required Cover Dimension shown on the upload page. It already includes bleed and spine width. If your page count or paper changes, the spine width changes and so does this dimension.

Necessary actions

1. Find your trim size on the upload page or in your Book Detail.
2. InDesign: Check File → Document Setup → Page Size, and add bleed under Bleed and Slug.
3. Do not shrink or stretch the finished PDF to fit. Set the correct size in your layout, then export again.
4. To check your PDF in Acrobat, open File → Properties → Description and read Page Size.
5. Upload the new file. Preflight will check it again automatically.

Can I proceed without fixing it?

No. This is a blocker. The page size must match one of the accepted sizes.
