If you are transitioning files from another printer, we recommend reviewing them against our template before submitting. Download our template here: https://template.acutrack.com/
In most cases. Files from KDP, IngramSpark, or other printers can typically be used with little or no modification. Our prepress team will review your files and flag anything that needs attention before production begins.
What parts of my files might need adjustment?
The most common area is the cover file, since spine width is calculated based on Acutrack's specific paper stock, page count, and binding requirements. Interior files usually transfer with few or no changes, though margins and bleed settings may occasionally need minor updates.
Will I need to redesign my book?
Usually not. Most updates are minor production adjustments: cover resizing, spine width, or margin tweaks and not a full redesign.
Will Acutrack review my files before printing?
Yes. Our prepress team reviews all submitted files and will provide clear guidance if any updates are needed before production begins.
How long do file adjustments take?
Most adjustments are minor and can be completed quickly, depending on project complexity and access to the original design files.
Why does Acutrack have different specifications than my previous printer?
Every printer uses different equipment, paper stocks, and binding processes. Specifications are tailored to each production environment and neither is better or worse, just different.
