Acutrack requires that you must have a scan code on every product that we fulfill. It is easier if the scan code has been implemented as part of your packaging or artwork. You can add the barcode in a UPC barcode or Datamatrix barcode format.
|UPC barcode actually stands for universal product code. In the context of retail, the purpose of this barcode is to make it easy for users to identify specific product features (like its size or color) when an item is scanned at checkout. Along with making the checkout process more efficient, UPC codes help streamline the fulfillment process.|
Datamatrix barcode is a 2 mm label usually used for smaller items. Their tiny footprint makes them ideal for small products in logistics and operations as well as accepted by Amazon.
Datamatrix codes offer high data density, which means they take up less space on products and assets.
If we receive a product without a scan code, we must print & apply a scan code label to your product for an additional fee.
What is the size of the UPC barcode?
There is no fixed size of the UPC barcode. There is a standard size, however, you have the flexibility to change the size to meet your design. It is always best to print barcodes as 100% black on a white field.
The standard dimensions of a UPC barcode is 1.46″ x 1.02″. The sizing range for UPC magnifications is between 80-200%. This means that a UPC could be accepted by 80% to 200% of the standard size.
Additionally, barcodes may be truncated to a reduced height. We do not recommend less than .5” high
