Follow the instructions, below, for our step by step claim procedures.
Customers, who are signed up for this insurance package, can submit a support ticket to Acutrack for any lost/damaged package with the following:
- If your shipment is lost or has not arrived at the intended destination, submit a request to our support team. We will contact the shipping carrier by filing a tracer and ask them to try to locate the missing shipment. Please provide the following details: Acutrack OrderId, Proof of value, Claim: Damage/Loss. If your shipment is damaged please contact our support team as soon as possible. We will notify the carrier.
- To submit a claim to shipsurance provide all required documents within 120 days from the date of shipment. If the shipment is sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS) or consolidator, and the claim is for loss the Insured must wait 20 calendar days (Domestic shipments) or 40 calendar days (International shipments) before filing a claim with SHIPSURANCE.
- Provide the following supporting documents:
- Copy of original invoice/receipt to/from the recipient.
- If the claim is for damage please describe the damage. If repairs are possible, include the cost of the repair from a 3rd party. If repairs are NOT possible, include the salvage value.
- If the claim is for damage, photos and inspection may be required. Retain all packaging material and damaged goods in its original form as received. DO NOT FAX PHOTOGRAPHS.
- Claim statement/affidavit form signed by the recipient. Online claims verification service option available.
- Copy of original invoice/receipt to/from the recipient.
Most claims are processed and paid within 10 business days.
Please note that the following countries are excluded from coverage. If you have a policy with us, WE DO NOT COVER SHIPMENTS SENT TO THESE LOCATIONS:
Afghanistan
Angola
Bolivia
Burma
Congo
Cuba
Iran
Iraq
Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire)
Liberia
Nigeria
North Korea
Paraguay
Sierra Leone
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
Venezuela
In addition, truck/rail shipments to and within Mexico other than as a connecting conveyance and any location that would be in violation of any U.S. economic or trade sanctions including OFAC Restricted Countries. For shipments to Russian and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries (includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) coverage ceases upon touchdown of the aircraft at the airport of destination or upon discharge from the overseas vessel at the destination discharge port. This means that if a package is scanned into these countries, coverage ceases
