The service "Postal International Mail Service MDX" is handled two phases: The first phase is the initial delivery from the USA to the package's destination country. The second is the local delivery within the destination country.
The first phase is handled by having the package "piggy-back" on pre-existing FedEx shipping lines. This means that FedEx handles the shipment up until it is deposited to its country of destination. The package is picked up by FedEx, sent to their sorting hub in Sweden, and then dispersed to the destination country.
After that comes the second phase wherein the local postal service of that particular country takes over the shipping process. All packages shipped this way may be tracked by using the same tracking number posted by FedEx (and on customer portal) on the web tracking site for the destination country's local postal service.
